BANSKO is located about 2 hours from Sofia, whose airport has flights from many UK and Irish airports.
The PIRIN MOUNTAINS are part of a natural nature reserve and the region as a whole is a World Heritage site.This beautiful alpine region offers the intrigue of it's ancient town, Bansko, together with the National Park providing superb winter sports facilities for all abilities. The ski season is from December until mid April in the Rhodope and Pirin Mountains. The summers are short and fairly hot providing a wonderful climate for bird watching, summer sports and sightseeing of the cultural interests found locally.

Bansko is nestled at the foot of the Pirin Mountains at an altitude of 936m above sea level. Bansko has a great snow record and a long ski season with snow from mid-december to May.
The mountains provide skiing for all levels with wide well maintained slopes and Todorka peak towering above at over 2900m.
